    Drainage problem
My house is built on a slop and several things happen when it rains.

    1. soil on both sides of house is washing down into the back of the house which has a creek.

    2. water from the right front washing over to the left front and is causing the dirt on the left front to wash away to the left side of house which then causes the soil on the left side to wash away.

How do I remedy these issues?

    Thank you,
    Sheri

I assume you mean a "slope". You will have to have someone look at the situation and offer better suggestions since we can't see the issue. Typically they will bench the slope and then put down mulch to reduce water flow. You may need additional dirt brought in.

My first floor vanity sink has a mysterious (to me) drainage problem. If I fill the sink with water, it drains normally until there is about an inch of water in the basin. Then, it stops and the water just sits there. I have not noticed this problem anywhere else in the house. I've used Draino...
