    Why do I smell things
I smell, on different occasions what appears to be garlic, onions or some kind of spice. I smell it when I am no where near food. There are no breezes to carry someone's dinner cooking through the window. I do not have garlic in my home can't remember the last time I did. I'll be driving in the car late and the windows are up and there it is, the smell. It sometimes comes strong and sometimes faint. I was recently told I have a disorder in the blood vessel of the brian. Could this be one of the symptoms of that? My doctor has no idea, he has never heard of such a thing. I don't believe in ghosts as one of my friends has suggested. I am starting to believe I'm just crazy.

I have no medical training but I have read that disorders of the brain can in some cases cause a person to smell odors that do not in fact exist.
