Hi, mrsmare!
I would assume that a person working as a caregiver to someone with a learning disability would be in better position to be able to promote individual rights, choices and well being for the person who is learning disabled because of being in a position of trust by the person for whom they are providing the care.
Wouldn't you?
Thanks!

That would be correct as support workers have to build up a trust between themselves and the individual they are supporting but was really looking for a more in depth answer

Hi again, mrsmare!
Are you presently employed as someone taking care of a person with a learning disability, please?
By answering the way that I did, I was trying to get an idea as to what you know about what you're trying to find out.
Thanks!
