    Navel piercing
I got my navel pierced last summer with a barbell. It got infected and I had to take it out. I want to get it repierced and I heard that its more resistant to infection if you get it pierced with a ring instead of a barbell. Is this true? I just don't want to get it pierced all over again if it will just get infected again.

If you get it pierced with a ring rather than a barbell it gives it room for swelling. A barbell can put pressure on the piercing and cause it to get infected. Get it pierced with a ring first, and after it heals you can put a barbell back in :)

I have my belly pierced and the same thing happened to me because the place I went to they pierced it with a ring and I had to change it and of course it got infected.I got it repierced a few months later and they pierced it with a barbell.. personally,I think a barbell is better because that's what your suppose to get it pierced with but everyone is different I guess... well anyway good luck with that and whatever place you go to get it pierced just pierce it with whatever they suggest
