    Diabetes symptoms... delay in testing
I just called my dr's office to set up an appointment to be tested for diabetes, but my family doctor is only taking urgent cases today, so I have to wait and call back next Friday, which I wasn't very happy about. I really don't want to wait another week for this. I'm still experiencing specific symptoms, which seem to have increased, such as extreme hunger and thirst, fatigue, (I have an extremely hard time staying awake) irritability, sore eyes w/ blurry vision, and frequent urination. I have also lost 3 pounds. So, my question is, if I feel that this cannot wait and my dr's office won't take me today, where else can I go to be tested more quick? If anyone can help me with this, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

My suggestion would be to do a walk-in at your doctor's office. Many offices close for nothing but urgent care, urgent care it a doctors office usually means people who need to be seen but do not have an appointment. It means something totally different in a hospital setting though.
