    Bed Bugs
I have had red spots popping up on my arms, stomach, back legs and it itch like crazy. This has been going on for a month now, and I can't figure it out. I have been to the doctor and she told me I am having an allergic reaction to something. She suggested that I go back to what I was doing to no avail. The marks will pop up red and then they will itch like crazy and then they will go back down and leave no mark. I am brown skinned too. Sometimes the marks are huge like a bruise. I saw a special coming on my News on Monday about bed bugs. I lifted my sheet off my bed and notice a very small bug. It was dead. Do I call the exterminator or what do I do? I have been using Blue Star ointment like crazy and taking Benadryl at night. Some one please advise me what to do. I live in St. Louis.

    Thank you,

Do you have any animals? If you have been contact with any animals. It is possible that the animal had fleas? It could be possible that you are allergic to fleas. Bed bugs, ah I am not to sure about that. Could even be allergic to different kinds of detergent soap or even the dryer lint that you use. If you changed anything then maybe you should look into these things.

Also say if there is some kind of bug. The best thing to do is clean all your close and sheets and buy a plastic covering for the mattress. This will protect you from mites, which always always lives where the mattress is. Some people become or are allergic to these things. The cure. Washing more often and sealing the mattress with a plastic covering.

So there are a couple of possibilities now it is up to you to decide which one of these I mentioned fits your problem and take steps to fix it then you will not have the problem with the allergic reactions.

Another possibility is being allergic to food.

I think the fleas or mites being allergic to them fits you most.

Oh, by the way. Benadryl is like drinking a dose of dopey sleepy medicine. For me it never helped any kind of allergy.

I recommend you try clariton. You take one pill a day and it works wonders for the allergy.

With benadryl it just makes you drowsy and dopey and does not really do anything at all.

The best thing for you to do is take your sheets off and wash them and run the through the dryer a couple times to kill anything that might be on them and while you are doing that get some Febreeze Allergin reudcer and spray it all over your matterss and really spray it so the matterss is wet. Let it dry and take your vacuum and put the flat piece on the hose and vacuum the mattress. This will vacuum up any dead bugs, their fecies and anything they eat so them your mattress will be a little safer. And to add percautions I would do it to both sides of your mattress. Once your sheets are finished just put them on your bed, the heat will have kilt anything that was on them. I hope this helps.
