Is it a bad thing to lose sleep when trying to learn Remembering dreams?
For lucid dreaming you need to practice remembering dreams and one of the techniques is to wake up several times a night. HOpefully during REM periods.

I've done that for some coupld of months. And I've been able to remember tons of dreams now but when I wake up . It's hard to go back to sleep so I've been unable to sleep as much as I need to.

    Example:
Go to sleep at about 10pm, wake up at 3am.. close eyes and try to go back to sleep but can't.. even after keeping eyes closed for 1 hour.. still not asleep.. so sometimes I just give up and wake up and do hobbies.

So insteadf of 8 hours. I sleep like 5

Why do you carry on this regime for remembering dreams. Proper sleep is necessary. Remembering dreams is not.
