I spent the 13th in the hospital for suicide attempt, then from the 14th until yesterday in a wonderful psychiatric facility (not sarcastic, it was a beautiful place with great staff and fellowship among the patients) and the past day in a respit home. I am now back, with a new attitude and feeling wonderful.

To anyone thinking of suicide: get help, there is help out there. There are so many medicines and therapy techniques out there. Get help and do not wait until you swallow your weight in pills to get it.

I'm so glad we didn't lose you. Why didn't you ask me for permission to commit suicide?? (I would have said no.)

Now, what's in your future, Miss Lyra?

That's great Lyra. Be careful about the euphoria after good care and good fellowship. If you are back in a place where you are either alone and lonely, or amongst people who have troubles of their own, or with people who just plain have their own lives and not much time for support, please be sure you have at least weekly supports in place.

I'm taking things one at a time. Making small goals until I know I am ready for larger ones.

Goals right now: take my medications at the proper times, check in with Michelle (my support and I'm her support) once a day, and go to outpatient therapy.

I've moved back with my mum, an area stock full of job openings and schooling opportunities.
