    Aikido breathing
"breather in and let yourself soar to the ends of the universe; breathe out and bring the cosmos back inside. Next, breathe up all the fecundity and vibrancy of the earth. Finally, blend the breath of heaven and the breath of earth with that of your own, becoming the breath of life itself"

The above is the saying of the founder of Aikido. You can find those in the book " The Art of Peace" written by John Stevens(Translation version). I want to know exactly about this meaning. Is it some kind of meditation methods or just philosophy? Please share your ideas and if you know exactly, please teach me. Thank you.

Suggest you learn the meanings of this discipline by signing up and learning first hand from the disciples. The path to understanding is the dedication to learning.

The system was founded on religious and spiritual energy and systems. Breathing is merely part of an entire system of energy flow and harmony in the body.

As taught in most western schools today, they do lip service to the true usage of the art.

Although I consider it one of the weaker systems for actual fighting.
