    Usb kvm switch
    i've recently purchased a usb kvm switch (Belkin F1DG102UUK) & my keyboard/mouse set-up is an msft wireless laser 6000 keyboard & a wireless laser 5000 mouse.

    THE PROBLEM;
    The kvm switch has two usb inputs..(one for the mouse & one for the keyboard) BUT both keyboaed+mouse operate off ONE usb transciever.
    Belkin assure me that the kvm will still work by plugging the trasciever into either the mouse or keyboard input but i have tried both without any success.

    Anybody got any ideas ????? ALL input will be gratefully recieved,
    :confused: Slim:confused:

    KVM is cantankerous enough via individual PS/2 connections. Individual USB connections I avoid if at all possible. Throwing in wireless over a single connection, well that's just crazy talk... :)

    Try:
    • Verify switch is using power adapter.
    • Everything is connected with all power off (computers unplugged) and then everything powered up together.

    If you're using wireless for the distance, another option would be KVM over CAT5 with standard PS/2 input devices and switch, more $$ though.
