Error is coming when installing the softwares
I have got this error when I try to install opera9.27 or nero start smart 7 ultra or java i.e jdk1.5
The error coming when I try install this softwares are :
Command line parameters:
/L language ID
/S Hide initialisation dialog. For silent mode use:/s
/v/qn.
/v parameters to MsiExec.exe
/UA<url to InstMsiA.exe>
/UW<url to InstMsiW.exe>
/UM<url to msi package>
Can any one tell how to remove the error so that I can install all the three softwares. Reply

Sounds like could be a problem with windows installer
Google windows installer and download the redistributable package, should be v3.1

Download details: Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable
scroll down and click download for WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe
If you haven't upgraded to servicepack3, if you do that should fix it as well
one point: if you're already running sp3, sometimes stuff won't install on it even Microsoft software like office 2007

one point: if youre already running sp3, sometimes stuff wont install on it even microsoft software like office 2007
I have sp2 and I don't want to upgrade sp3 as once when I installed sp3 it caused me problem while starting the computer.I tried your link given and even downloaded it but to no avail.the same error is coming.any more ideas!!

The link above is not SP3, it is windows installer version 3.1
I would install the windows installer version 3.1 and go from there first
The 3.1 installer was created 9/2/2005, long before SP3
Hopefully this should resolve install problem you are having

I have not installed sp3.I m currently using sp2.and I tried windows installer but it is not working.do you have any more ideas.

Sp3 is not in any part of anything, did you download the 3.1 installer above and install?

I did everything even I downloaded the installer and installed it.but the same error arrives.
