    No friends
So I've always kept only a few friends close to me but recently me and friends all got into a fight and it's me against the rest of them. I'm not even sure if we're friends anymore but I'm feeling pretty lonely now. It's summer for me and I'm not in school. The only activities I do are work out at the gym and take private drum lessons (not the easiest places to meet new people). The only friend that I have is pretty much my boyfriend and don't get me wrong I really like him but I don't want to depend on him too much just in case I lose him and then I'm left with no one. So if anyone can give me any tips about how to meet new people and make friends or how to not feel so lonely that would be great.

From a drummer to a drummer, best advice I can give is to start a band and play out. The easiest way to do this is to start a cover band. The one I'm in now plays just about every weekend and we get free beer, sometimes free food but we always get paid.

You'll get to meet a lot of interesting folks, be able to check out towns, bars, and venues you normally wouldn't go to, and above all you'll have a sh*tload of fun. I've met a lot of friends this way, and a handful of ex-girlfriends, too.

I have a show this weekend and I'm pumped.

And if you can't start a band at the moment, at least start going to local shows and meet people that way.

Ex is seeing a lot of one of my best friends. Think I'm losing friends everywhere [ 5 Answers ]

Ok, not to bore anyone with details, but my ex and I broke up a couple of months ago, and I've found it excruciating to deal with my feelings. I have good and bad days, and a couple of days ago would have been our 2 year anniversary. I've noticed that one of my best friends is getting very close...
