My friend has excluded me, why am I so hurt?
I recently made friends with two mums at school. One of them was going through a really rough patch as her mother was unwell (I supported her and was there for her through out). Her mother has since recovered and I found out that this friend has invited the other friend round but left me out.

I cant make sense of the fact that I was told what a wonderful friend I was to be left out. I have never been rude, but I am not going to confront her as it makes me look desperate.

Should I distance myself off a little? Should I ignore the situation? I must admit - feelinmg betrayed!

Feeling betrayed is such a dark way to look at this, and totally cancels out the very good you have done supporting someone else in a time of need. You certainly did this out of the kindness of your heart, and not looking for something back right?

Best stay out of their friendship/relationship, and stay grounded in your own good orderly directions. Life brings all kinds of people into our lives, some for longer than others, some for better than others.

Some even circle back after time and remember the good/bad of the last experience, so keep moving forward Amber, and count your own blessings for the experiences you have, and be ready for those to come. Jealousy has no place nor have you been betrayed since what others do is not about you in the first place.

Why mess up the good you have done with the bad that you feel? I would just keep making friends, and being a good person, and not get stuck on these two at all!

I think there's room for a tiny ask. Plan the wording carefully, keep it very short, and don't show any emotion other than a little sadness.

Sometimes the answers are so simple that it's a big relief.
    - the other friend asked and maybe even had something to bring over, like medical supplies or food
    - you smoke, her unwell mother doesn't
    - there was a time constraint and you weren't even around
    and so on!
