My Hp Computer Runs Real Slow. What Can I Do To Fix And Make My Computer Faster? Thank You

We need a LOT more info. Like what processor you have, what version of Windows, how you connect to the Internet, why you think its slow, what specifically is slow, etc. Have you done maintenance like defragging, spyware scans, etc.

The more you put into a question the better chance we can help. There is nothing we can do with your post but ask for more info.

As Scott says the more information you give us the better we can help.
Here's some maintenance steps to be going on with.

General system maintenance includes:
Defrag
FULL patching
Virus scanning
Spyware scanning
Removal of rubbish files

Defrag is an inbuilt function in XP.
OPen My Computer > Right click C: > Tools Tab and it's there.

To make sure everything is running fine run both anti virus and anti spyware apps in normal AND safe modes. (make sure that they are updated first ! ;)) (AVG is good and free AV)
(A couple of good removal tools are Spybot and Adaware)

ALso an on line virus and spyware scanner is Trend Housecall

Just a note; actively running two AV's on one machine can cause problems.
So if you are thinking about it make sure your current one is disabled first.
SAme thing applies to online scanners as well.

Removal of junk files is easy with CCleaner a free app that does exactly what you neeed.

Ty for answering, processor is authentic AMD 1989 Mhz ,xp pro for windows, dial up. I did defrag and all those to clean my computer... it runs slow loading everything.. it slower now ,than when I bought it may 2006..

Define loading? When you load programs, files? What? How much RAM do you have?

Hey this is sam, you may have a virus on your PC but if you have tried anti virus software and that's not helped then check how many applications you have opening in the backround when you switch it on and if that's not the problem it more than likely to be your RAM hope this helped.
