Did you check to make sure the printers are supported under XP? Did you make sure you downloaded and installed XP drivers?

Try removing the printers and reinstalling them. Make sure the cables are reseated and tight.

In my experience this relates to a hardware issue.
Now here's a thought did this issue start happening when you installed your USB2 card ?
Also do your printers support USB2 printing?

Can you try printing from another USB port NOT on this add on card, removing the extra USB2 card would also be a good idea.
From what little information you have given us about your hardware it obviously older say PIII.
If it is, as I feel, then is the CPU operating faster than 500Mhz as this is really the operational minimum spec for XP.
If it's less then your best course of action would be to down grade to Win98 SE, don't go back to ME as this is the worsest OS M$ has ever produced.

    Hope this helps

bernardo16, rather than leaving a disagree would you explain why this doesn't apply.
I covered a lot of stuff in my post, yet you seem to of just blown it off rather than addressing any of the points I made!!
This site works best as a two way street.
If you are unwilling or even unable to answer my points then say so and we'll try and assist.
A disagree for NO valid reason just makes us inclined NOT to help with your issue.

    I have 1300 Mhz with a 512 and 256 module of memory
I have the printer plugged into the mother board not the usb card.
I have also tried the card \ and I have also flashed the mother boards BIOS so that's updated as well. This same printer works with the same cable on another computer with Xp installed on it. I get This message with the stop error report. Driver_IRQL_not_less_or_Equal

I'm sorry I did not mean to affend you or to blow you off I have sent a reply to your last email as to what I done and gave you some more info And bye the way I've even unstalled the printer and even deleted it from the registry and then reinstalled the printer and drivers that didn't help either.
And again I'm sorry I did not know that response would be received as as it was I was just trying to say that the info did not apply in my case.

OK fair enough, but you still haven't addresses this:
removing the extra USB2 card would also be a good idea.
IRQ errors always relate to hardware and seeing as this card is an add on this is my first suspect piece.
Have you added any other hardware since this error started ?
Also try pull the 256 RAM stick and trying again.

No I have not installed any other hardware. The only reson I installed a new usb card was that the old one the computer was 1.0 and I thought maybe that was the problem so I installed this 2.0 card.

But I will take the card out and the 256 stick and reinsert it. I haqve a ram checker and it reads both sticks as being there.
