Hi Maddy, although I've never found Noritake to be as popular as sets such as Doulton or Shelley etc. Yet they still seem to fetch a decent price among collectors of that kind. Especially if it's the hand painted scenery type that Noritake are famous for.

Try doing a search on eBay, it may give you an idea of what others are selling theirs for.

Maddy, eBay is a good place to get a rough idea of an item's value. However, there are some limitations. First, many sellers (myself included) don't always have a clear idea of what their item is worth. Some don't care and are glad to get anything for an unwanted item. Second, frequently the buyers aren't much better informed. Often they'll consider an item marked way too high when, in fact, it's priced according to a fair appraisal. Also, when using eBay as a reference, don't forget to check the completed listings, these show which items actually sold or not. This is the best way to gauge what your item might bring, IF you sell it on eBay. Of course, as I already said, eBay buyers aren't always the best judges of fair prices. I suggest that you continue to find alternative resources for your appraisals. (That's what I'm doing here, myself.)
