Is this paper weight a collectible? I have seen something similar on an auction show and there is a name for it but can't recall.

Could someone please furnish with more information?

If you Google "antique paperweights"and click on images, you'll find many that look similar to yours.

I recently saw a few on Antiques Road show, and when confirmed that they were in fact antiques and not replicas (and there are a lot of replicas), they were worth a few hundred dollars each, the best one being almost $1000.

But to determine if yours is of value, or a knock off, would take an antique expert to determine. It's near impossible to do online with only a picture.
