    What does working on block at a restaurant mean?
    I hear it a lot and just wondering what it means

    Since I'm only guessing, maybe someone has a better answer who actually works in a restaurant. But, I would think that the term might apply to a section within a restaurant that a waiter or waitress is supposed to be working on a given shift. For instance, like a 'block" of tables?

    Just a guess.
