    Stomach problems; eating problems.
I eat healthy foods, so I know this isn't much of a problem. However, I do have a problem with the way I eat.

I will get a full plate of food and only be able to eat a quarter of it and feel very full, while 20 minutes to an hour later, I feel like I haven't eaten in about 10 or 12 hours, that or my stomach will start to ache for a few hours.

So, does anybody have any suggestions?
Some people have told me it's a metabolism shift or possibly tapeworm, but does anybody have another logical reason it could be doing this?

    Sounds normal to me.

You don't eat enough at your meal to satisfy the needs of your body, so you get hungry again in a short time.

I recommend you take a course in nutrition which will include the metabolic value of starches, fruits, vegetables, fats, and meats. IN addition, you can learn the harm of eating sugars. An average adult female needs about 2,000 calories a day to maintain her weight. That can break down to 500 calories a meal plus two snacks.

Knowledge is power in every subject! :)

    Hi,

Get yourself tested for digestion problems. Early feeling of fullness is usually an indicator of slow motility in your stomach (food does not digest fast enough). This can be Delayed Gastric Emptying (aka Gastroparesis), or one of many stomach/intestinal digestive disorders. The first tests are a baruim x-ray (liquid that will show up on xray-let's them know if there are any blockages), followed up by radioactive tests (you eat an egg sandwich with radioactive particles that allow a machine & tech's to track it's digestion (or lack of) through your system. There are plenty of medications out there that help improve motility Domperidone & MetoClopramide were 2 that my hubby was on for a while with Delayed GE. Any way about it you do not want to let this go, the symptoms can turn rather severe if left untreated.

I have gastritis which is an inflammation of the stomach lining due to taking Ibuprofen for around 15 years, but there are several other causes.

It sounds like you have something similar. For me it only occurs if I eat dairy, spicy/greasy, and alcoholic foods and drinks. Ulcers have similar side effects and you can have a test done at your Drs office where you blow into a bag, you get results in a few days, and this test for the bacteria that causes most ulcers.

My symptoms are that I feel full quickly and then get a gnawing pain in my stomach. It usually lasts for a few hours, and helps if I vomit or take A LOT of acid reducers. If this sounds similar then go on webmd.com and look up gastritis or gastric ulcers and see if it sounds like your symptoms. Then run to your Dr, and get some meds to help.
