    Honey and diabetes
I am worried about getting diabetes. I was wondering whether eating too much sugar will cause diabetes? Is honey a better replacement for tea? Will having honey in tea cause diabetes?

Diabetes is related to elevated blood sugar levels, and I believe personally that excess use of sugar, along with the hidden sugars we eat and drink everyday is the reasons so many people are now getting diabetes. Sugar has no nutritional value and contributes to excess calories. It also increase urinary out of vitamin and minerals, adds to general fatigue, increase PMS symptoms, cause tooth decay and hyperactivity to name a few negatives. Honey, and I am speaking of Raw Honey on the other hand, (used sparingly), as well, does have some advantages, it contains vitamins/minerals, amino acids, Iron, maganese, B2, B6, as well as having a lot of other health benefits. Check out the nutritional labels on the foods you eat, if the first few ingredients are sugar or one of the hidden sugars, like high fructose corn syrup, for example, pass on it. And as soon as you can, really try to curtail your sugar consumption!

I have been one of the worst sugar addicts, I always had a 44 oz coke on hand, and I know better, but I loved soda! It took a lot of work to get off the "stuff", lol, but now I'm a iced green tea and water addict, instead. I have to have my water totally iced, and the green tea has a lot of great antioxidants, it takes time but you can get off sugar, it takes, time( lessen the amount wkly,) it's a lot easier that way.

Dry Skin Honey Mask [ 2 Answers ]

Why do so many dry skin mask preparations contain honey? How does it work? I can see why it would help acne, honey kills bacteria by causing them to burst when their water is sucked out by the high sugar, low water syrup (osmotic lysing). But how does it moisturise skin? Or does it just act as...
