    Better eating?
    Hello everyone. Sneezers here.

So... for the past 6 months or so, I've been working out religiously... eating better... and dropped about 30 lbs.

IMO, I'm looking decent, but I think dropping another 10 lbs should do the trick and bring my body fat to about 7 - 8%... thus revealing the six pack.

So while I'm cutting weight, doing cardio, and lifting weights, I've stuck with the same diet as I have before, but now, I'm really feeling the grind. Around 5pm or so everyday, my body just crashes... I usually collapse on the couch... bed... and I can't even walk around unless I have a coke or some other fast sugar fix. I did a lot of research, counted my calories, split up my carbs/protein/fat before I came up with my diet... and now it seems to be failing. Someone with a more nutritional background help me out.

(this is my daily schedule... I try to follow it diligently, but obv I lack some days. I run everyday, but I lift weights every other day)

7am - banana and yogurt, run for 60 min
    8am - 1 cup oatmeal with about 10 - 12 blueberries
10am - some sort of fruit or protein bar
1pm - tuna salad or grilled chicken salad
3pm - handful of almonds and dried cranberries... or handful of trail mix... or fruit
6pm - apple and lift weights
7pm - grilled chicken or fish with 2 cups of frozen vegetables, 1/2 cups of rice, usually have some sort of dessert like pineapples or frozen strawberries
    10pm - cottage cheese

So that's my daily eating schedule... roughly.. . I eat enough calories, enough fat/carbs/protein... I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong.

    Oof, I forgot to mention.

After weight lifting, I take a egg white protein shake with skim milk, and I take daily vitamin supplements.

Gee I sneeze when you get done with that diet you just might have to post a real pic of you...
    Sneezing of course!! :D

Sounds like you do need more of something with energy and maybe you are overdoing the exercising.
You could check at GNC about whey protein shakes. I think they say you should take something with the whey too to optimize it
I will try and look that up.

Might also want to look into foods that will help with the highs and lows in your glucose levels... perhaps midday snacks of yogurt, walnuts, hummus dip, etc.. Might help keep your energy level more steady.

Also, what kind of supplement are you taking? You may want to switch to a liquid supplement because your body can digest it better. Many times with pill supplements your body does not digest them well so you really don't get the proper benefits from them.

I take a protein shake supplement that dissolves in a glass of skim milk.

I actually went to the nutritionist a few days ago and was told simply: I'm not eating enough.

... imagine my bewilderment when I found out that I'm not eating enough. I mean, did you SEE that list?! I'm eating every 2 - 3 hours!

Apparently, my stupid workouts increased my stupid metabolism and now I burn off more calories a day than ever. I'm not complaining... really, but... c'mon. I'm a poor college grad... no money for food :(

Regardless, my nutritionist got me on a diet very close to the one I listed above, except now, for lunch, no more salads. Whole meal. And no more apple/banana for snacks... almonds and protein bar for snacks. Oh, and I have to eat about twice as much for me to maintain my weight. Bah.

In the morning I run for about 60 minutes... usually on speed 5.5 - 6.0 on the treadmill. It averages about 10 min/mile. With warmup and cooldown I end up running about 5 miles in the morning.

In the evening, I lift weights by doing isolations. MWF are arms (biceps/triceps) and TTHS are chest, shoulders, and abs. I usually do about 4 - 5 exercises per area... 3 sets of 8 - 10 reps. Usually takes me about an hour or so to get through it. I also do some warm up calisthenics... (75 pushups, 45 pullups, 45 free squats)
