    Upgrading school lab with $ 23750 U.S
How can I upgrade my school lab with a budget of about $23750 dollars U.S. This includes networking, internet, new desks etc... I want at least a 2.5 GhZ although they don't come in processor speeds or that but basically anything close. Also I want 512 MB of RAM for 24 computers. There is no preference of operating systems either windows vista or mac. Also since it is a large private school, we need a large storage space of about 100 GB for every computer. Currently the computers in our labs are about 2.0 Ghz have 256 MB or RAM and have only about 60 GB or hard drive space. I need to hand up a document to the administration by April 27

contact HP or Dell. You should be able to get a low end Athlon X2 processor with 1G Ram & 200G HD for about $500 each uf you buy 24. That will take about half your budget. Wiring, router and switch ans durniture should fit within the rest. You will need to contact local telco or cable company for Net access.

Upgrade the PCs RAM to 512k+. Rather than add drives to all PCs, consider setting a file/application server with several GB (or TB) of hard drive space and create a network share drive for each of the connected PC's. If the data is critical, consider setting up a full RAID configuration.
