    Network Setup Wizard Freezes
Hi have a desktop and a laptop on my network. Both were working fine a few months back. Then one day out of the blue, my laptop could not access the internet or the network. The desktop is connected by ethernet wire to the wireless linksys router. The laptop has a wireless card. When I try to do the network setup wizard, it always indicates that the desktop is connected to the internet through a residential gateway. When I attempt to correct this by selecting the option that this computer is connected directly to the internet and all other computers connect through this one, the wizard freezes and becomes non-responsive. I could leave it there for a day and it still wouldn't do anything. Please help me fx this problem. I am desperate to get my laptop working.

Can you still access the internet from the desktop PC?
(If so, don't mess with the network setup on the desktop PC)

Have you tried rebooting the Linksys router?

Can you access the admin web page on the router?
(check your documentation on how to do this)

In the wireless configuration on the laptop, does the laptop see the router?
