See Router as DNS Server and How to configure Cisco Router as Authoritative DNS Server for a walkthrough. Hmm, I looked at my Cisco 2611 running IOS 12.3. It did not have the "ip dns server" command. However, my 2811 running 12.4 has the command. Cisco command lookup tool indicates the command was added in IOS 12.2(4)T. Perhaps it's platform specific?
