My Desktop keeps losing connection to the internet.
Well I don't know much about computers and all, but I have a Linksys WRK54G set up, and I have about 4 family members that is sharing my internet, it's a lot, but usually my internet is still really fast. I have DSL Frontier by the way. Anyway, about two months ago while playing Counter Strike, I kept on freezing, and lately I try to go to a website and it takes about 5-10 seconds to load up, which is odd because it usually only take 1 second or how ever fast DSL is. Sometimes after that 5 seconds, it just says something like "Problem Loading Page." This is especially slow at night. I setted up a WEP password, the first time I did it, my internet was a bit faster since other people couldn't steal it, had to take it down one time and set up it back up, but now its like this. I heard that there is a way where I can give myself most of the internet speed or something like that, and give the rest a little only, anyone knows how to do that? Or does anyone know how to fix my problem?

Look and see if your router has a section in it called QoS (Quality of Service). If it does and it is enabled, you can set device priority by MAC address and you can also set protocol priorities. This is important if you are using applications that run "real-time" such as video conferencing. There are no retries in this type of media, just screen freezes.

Now, for the likely fix... Reboot the Cable/DSL modem, wait 30 seconds and then reboot the router. Then restart all of your PC's so that there is no contention for IP addresses just in case the DHCP data is lost. Do this at least once a month. This will often fix your slow Internet access 9 times out of 10.
