You have to go into Account settings and make sure your incoming and outgoing server names are correct. You should have been given this information from your ISP.

When we ask you to provide information, please provide what we ask for. If we ask, generally we need the info to help.

If you have the wrong incoming and outgoing server names you need to check with your ISP to determine what the correct names are.

I have seen this often as an error caused by that vile piece of software called Norton/Symantec AntiVirus or Internet Security. Let us know if you have that installed.

Hey. I was trying to fix my issue which is like this one... trying to use Outlook to push pull emails to/from Yahoo email account. I can receive into Outlook, but it won't send. I have verified all the settings appear to be correct. There are two questions.. 1) if I am using Yahoo, do I use the Uverse outgoing mail server or Yahoo outgoing mail server and 2) Yes, I have the Norton/Symantec AntiVirus software (this year's model) which I installed when I bought my HP laptop a few months ago. So, do I change some settings?
