What are Ares god of war's contributions?
What did he create such as Poseidon created horses? What were his special skills like how Hades could summon the dead? What about Hera?

Ares was actually not considered that important. He didn't really do anything except help with ongoing wars. Even with war, it seemed more Greek kingdoms turned to Athena rather than Ares for help. He didn't even have myths of his own, except that his water-dragon helped with the founding of Thebes.

Ares is the Greek god of war and manhood. Son of Dias (Zeus) and Hera.
He basically creates conflicts between humans and enjoys watching people fighting and killing each other in battles. Generally, he is getting a lot of pleasure by the chaos of war which one way or another he is responsible for.
He is an impeccable warrior and enjoys to fight with urge and passion. Something that sometimes turns against him. He also possesses the best weapons, forged in the fire of Hephaestus.
When in war, he also unleashes his twin sons, whom he had with Aphrodite (goddess of beauty and love) Phobos (meaning 'fear' in greek) and Deimos (meaning 'dread' in greek). Phobos and Deimos accompanied their father in every battle, spreading chaos in the battlefield.

Hera is the wife of Dias (Zeus). She is the goddess-protector of women and marriage. Hera is a very dynamic woman, who never submitted to any man but the almighty Zeus, who was the only one able to tame her. Famous for her hysterical and revengeful reactions towards her husband's affairs, she does everything in her power to destroy her husband's lovers and his illegitimate children. She is also known for her beautiful green eyes (sometimes a metaphor for envy) and her throne that was covered in peacock feathers.

I'm greek by the way, so you get the info straight from the source.lol
    Hope I helped!
