    Connection to orions belt
I have this weird connection to orions belt. I always comforts me and I have three freckles in the shape of it. I am wondering if there is anything mythological or weird connection or type of person that is connected to a constelation?

I've always felt a powerful connection to, as I put it in a poem umpteen years ago, the "wintry Hunter [who] stalks crisp nights" too. I don't know any specific myths about it, but from some things a Native American friend of mine said once, I think there are some myths about the Star People that connect to Orion specifically.

But for me, that constellation always draws my eye, and I always feel--mmm--happy when I see it. Like seeing an old friend. I have no idea why I feel that. Nostalgia for my home planet?? ;)

Lmao very nice... possibly... that's very interesting that you say that though because I am part native american and I feel a strong connection towards my native american roots even though I do not look it... I feel the same way when I see it... comforted in a way... I mean most people know the constelation itself but I know a lot and can spot a lot just as easy but there's soemthing about orions belt... let me know if you find anything?

I will keep you posted if I get any particular pieces coming into my life that relate to Orion or star energy. You might want to get in touch with some of the older members of your own tribe and see if they would be willing to share some of the Star People stories and songs with you. Even if you are not an enrolled tribe member, they may be willing to do that if you show you are genuine in your interest.

They may be a bit skeptical at first. Unfortunately, Native folks these days have people showing up all the time wanting to be taught Native spiritual lore, some of whom just want a quick fix for their lives, and some of whom want to take what they learned and market a bastardized version of it. So Native American people who are genuine initiates of these different customs and traditions are understandably a little hesitant to share. Respect, patience, honesty, and willingness to serve is what they usually like to see.

If you are an enrolled tribe member it's easy. You can get ahold of the tribal government and see what resources they have, maybe a community center or health clinic or something, or a pow wow. Offer to do some volunteer work at any of those.

If not an enrolled member, you could start as a geneaology project, see if you can find any aunts or uncles or cousins or whatever and just let them know you want to connect with your extended family, and then if that band/tribe/sub-tribe is having a pow wow or celebration of some kind, start by just showing up, participating, and being helpful and listening. Ultimately you might find some way to work with some of the tribal elders (maybe something along the lines of meals on wheels). As you get to know them better, you can ask if they carry stories or songs and would be willing to let you hear them. You will want to assure them that you understand these do not become your stories for you to repeate (or especially write down), unless you are specifically given the stories as a gift (and responsibility) to carry yourself.

I also find it weird because I have three freckles on my back that are about an inch and a half away from each other. I've actually noticed that there is probably about 5 others with the same markings while I was searching on the internet. Could there be a possible connection to why we all have that or could it be nothing? But if I were you, I would be quite proud of this fact that you have some sort of connection to the skies and greek stories. Lol I know I do

My name is brandon james fraher. Look at my faceboobk page. I have freckle in the shape the star constellation orion on my left wrist and the star constellation scorpio on my right forearm. My brother painted my wrist after he died. I have seen a space ship floating above my house on two separate occasions. On a third occasion I was told a space ship was above my city by two people I have never met before. Write me and add me to your Facebook page. I don't know what I am supposed to do. I have been seeing ghost at least once a month for as long as I can remember.

Whoah, that's pretty kreepy, I have the Orion's Belt on my right wrist and a butterfly shaped birthmark right next to it. I think it's cool cause it looks like the butterfly is shooting lasers or something but, it still confuses me as to why I have it. Since I have no Native American blood in me but I do have some Daniel Boone in me, he's like my 9th cousin or something, and I know he hung around with the Shawnee for a while. (which I think is hilarious since I have a friend who is related to Shawnee war Chief Blue Jacket and Daniel Boone and him were friends and now we're friends)

I have searched the internet too find an explanation too this strange attraction towards Orion's Belt and it amazes me how many things I have in common with what you guys are saying here. I know this is an old thread but maybe there are others that feel the same and can contribute to the discussion.
What fascinates me is that every time, no mater where I am and no matter what I'm doing if I happen to look up at the sky at night the first thing I see is Orion's Belt. It's just there every time I raise my eyes to the night skies. Like some of you have mentioned, I too have some freckles/beauty spots in the shape of Orion's Belt on my left forearm. I am not native american, I am romanian so I don't think it has anything to do with that.
I don't believe in coincidences but since I don't know how to call them I will stick to that term. There are many coincidences that followed me and that somehow relate to the Belt.
It would be interesting if others would find some more symbolism, besides what we already know, regarding this connection that many people seem to have with the constellation.
I will return and write some more of what I found but at the moment I don't really have time to write very much. I was just so much in awe because I went out on the balcony to have a smoke, looked up at the sky and saw it again and even though I am in a big hurry I couldn't wait to look this up on the net since it really starts to intrigue and fascinate me.

Blondndisguise - There are a number of people out there that feel the same "connection" to other certain stars, star systems and constellations. You might want to look up the term "star seed". I'm hesitant to give you that information because quite frankly I feel this is dangerous spiritual territory. If you want my opinion there are spiritual forces at work in your life... they are going to tell you otherwise. Look them up and let me know what you think.

I'm glad I finnally looked this up to find I am not the only one and that there are other people out there who are feelig the same strange connection to orions belt, I have tried to bring this up with people and family before (aswell as the strange feeling I have gotten ever since I have been a very small child of everything moving fast) but I think I just start to sound a little crazy.
I have throughout my life always had some sort of marking thet replicates orions belt the freckles I can def relate too but I'm also talking about other things like grazes and spots - ( I always get a small burst of 3 spots shaped like orions belt ).
I feel like I have been searching for something for a long time but recently I have felt it is time to step up and start really looking

As I said before... seeking this awakening is dangerous spiritual territory. There is a wealth of resources in this website link.

Spiritual forces are at work and I ask you to open your mind to the possibility that they may not be beneficial for you. God bless.

I too, have orions belt on my stomach. Always had a native American connection, but not native american. My grandfather was a painter of native american indians, and even lived among them in late 1870's and 1880's in South Dakota 100 percent white, bohemian, helped whites understand the native american portraied then was quite the contrary to the truth. Although white I don't believe he had respect for the american european culture. Heard of something of star people of orion.
