You can buy CD's, DVD's and Computer Programs to help you learn the language.
Any electronics or dvd store should carry them.

Um, no. Even if I would teach someone, I don't believe I could make anyone fluent in a short amount of time, nor would do it for FREE, which is what this site is for, free help.
My FREE advice was to get Rosetta Stone in Spanish. It's a program that's renown for being able to teach people a language quickly and efficiently.

There's no fast and easy way to learn a language. If you just want to have fun, sure, take it easy, but if you really want to learn, fast, you need to make a focused, consistent effort. Rosetta Stone is a really good program, though it will cost you at least 200 dollars. Don't spare efforts or money, though, if you really want to learn.

Some libraries carry Rosetta Stone and you can check it out for a few weeks for free.

If a library doesn't own it (or CDs), they will get it for you through interlibrary loan.

The best way to learn is to speak it with someone who is a native speaker or who knows it well.

the best way to learn any language is to speak it every day with other speakers-u can do this by buying a spanish phraze book that has a lot of the most common expressions and keeping it in your pocket-refering to it when needed-to get the repetition so your mind knows itz useful these commercial products that say u can learn the whole language at home-wrong to speak fluently means u have to live it ! Nos vemos y buena suerte

I see that you want to learn Spanish too, huh nothing lasts?
Well, now I'm thinking again about it... it's difficult for me to teach you french, for if you really need it, you'll have to learn the fluency too, which I cannot teach you through the net. You'll have to find some other software.
Also, if you're planning to learn several languages, be careful not to mix up the words.
And by the way, can I ask you how old are you? For if you are studying, and studying languages too, that might hinder your other studies.

Crickey! You're one crazy sheila, ya'know?

Anyway, I always thought the hardest was that one from Swahili (or wherever) where the whole language is like clicks and pops you make in your throat...

Hi all,
I'm planning to learn Spanish (latin) through Rosetta Stone software. The main reason I'm going to study this is because I want to make a two weeks trip to South America in Dec 2009 (a year from now on).
I was wondering if 6 months (assuming I start studying in April) is good enough...
