    Wndows media player 9
    Hi new to this site but it seems the question has been asked before... my windows media player freezes up actually the whole computer freezes up when playing some files I run windows 2000 pro and have downloaded (again) wmp9 and searched Microsoft site as well as Google... so what is the answer? Thanks

    I was going to suggest you go to Add/Remove Programs and get a fresh copy of MP

    I have Windoze 2000 pro on my computer and have found it a challenge...

    I think Java script From Sun micro needs to be current, and cookies enabled

    It is a popup window , maybe this is something to think about

Hope you can make more sense out of his than I , I am no expert , the rest of the system runs well it's just media player that freezes up , I have a cousin in scotland that sends me video clips and not all of them will play thanks for your reply

    Frankly, I've had so many problems w/ W2K that I threw down and bought XP Home and I've never looked back. I would strongly encourage upgrading.

    Thanks biggsie, I had already removed media player and reinstalled it, everything else runs fine on my system , it's just that I get video clips from my cousin in scoland and at times from other friends , some of them play fine others freeze the system and I have to reboot each time, so how do I get to the java script ? Thanks for your answer

    Just checked out java script and the software I have is up to date
