I want to install 2 outdoor speakers to my computer.
I have a couple of good quality, small Sony surround sound speakers that I want to install on the patio. They will only be playing music from the hard drive on my computer. I am looking for any suggestions other than running them through my home stereo system. That is not an option because the stereo and computer are too far apart from one another. I don't want to spend a lot of money on this, and I really don't care a whole lot about the sound quality, as long as it is halfway decent. I know I will need an amplifier of some sort.
Is there a way to splice them into my existing desktop speakers. I'm thinking of just going to Radio Shack and see what they have in the way of adapters, etc.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I think adapters may be the way to go. Not sure if the amplification may take a hit since it was designed for a certain amount of speakers/wattage.
