Connecting an LCD TV to an external amplifier
Hi. I'm so hoping someone can help me solve my problem. I have a 40" Sony Bravia LCD TV. I have recently purchased a Yamaha AX 300 amplifier ( not AV ) and some Mission speakers. I have tried to connect the TV to the amp with an RCA lead but with no joy. I just can't seem to get the sound from the TV to go through the amp. I have connected the amp to my satellite box and it works fine. I have also adjusted the sound settings on the TV as per the manufacturers instructions. Please please help !

Buy a 3.5 to 3.5 cable (the one that has headphone pins on each end) and a 3.5 to 6.3 converter (it's basically a headphone port into a guitar lead pin). Plug one end of the wire into the TV's audio out port and the other end into the converter. Once this is done, plug the converter into the amplifier's input.
This should do what you want it to. :)

Let me know if it works! :P
    Alex.
