    Sound Driver
    Some how the sound has disappeared from the computer. When I go to play a CD I get the following message:

    Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.

    Sound device is avance 97. We've had the computer new since 2003 and have not had a problem with the sound before.

    Can anyone help?
