    Audio Problems! Please Help!
Hi, I'm working on a Compaq Presario 6027US, P4 Processor 2.0 GHz, its soundcard is Soundmax 3.0 and I have been spending all day trying to fix the problem I have. Basically, I have itunes as my media player and it can't play audio files very well at all. If it does play the song it will be choppy sounding (especially if I try and do other functions), like real bad quality. What's weird is that if I play video files, the sound is fine, unless I try and do other functions of course. So, if there any steps you might suggest to fix this problem, I would VERY much appreciate it. Thanks so much, -Alex

Have you tried other media players? First thing I would try is to download the latest driver for your soundcard.
