Why is it that when you get into a bath of Water that is 98.6 degrees F. it feels even cool if not chilly, but if you turn your furnace up to 98.6 degrees F. it feels hot and uncomfortable?

I think it has something to do with "conducted" as opposed to "radiated" heat.. ever noticed that cooking times for foods are always longer to oven bake than grill?. it's the same principle..

... radiated heat is like the sun.. Notice how the suns warmth can go through space which is a vaccuum?. its because its radiated.. not conducted..

With a grill or a fire or the sun.. And these such things it goes cool as soon as you put your hand in the way... conducted heat though is when it touches directly through something like the air oven baking.. or in this case water.. having a bath...

... any albert einsteins out there.. feel free to correct me if I'm wrong..
