    Serious 80's cartoon set in space with animals and humans?
    I remember renting a movie in the early 80's all the time. It had something to do with space,the future, robotic animals? I kind of remember the main character wearing a yellow or gold space suit. It was cute and made for little kids but I remember it being very dark, serious and sad. Definitely something died. At the climax I remember a song playing, driving 80's ballad possibly a duet that sounded like Bob segers "still the same"

    This movie has been driving me crazy for 20 years!

    Ok, I'm not psychic enough to know which 80s cartoon you meant. So here's a list 80s cartoon shows: I hope one of them rings a bell of the distant past.
