    Movie identification
So, my friend wants to find this movie she saw back in the early 90's when she was home sick for a day. It would really make her day if we knew what it was, and I would get to be a hero, so if you've heard of it, please help! :)
This is probably a little vague, but this is what I've been able to get from her:
The movie is animated, and the main characters are all cats. The cats dress in the style of the 1800's. The movie follows the life of a male cat from his birth onward. At his birth, an evil (or at least slightly mean) aunt comes to live with him and his mother. The aunt is convinced that once born, this cat will be female. When he proves to be male, the aunt refuses to accept reality and continually calls him a female name. Frustrated by his aunt's gender confusion, the cat runs away and falls into a river. He is washed into a forest or jungle of some description, where he finds a female cat and falls in love.
That's all she's been able to tell us so far. That and the fact that she watched the movie on TV back when she lived in NYC.
    So, sound familiar to anyone?

(PS-Why am I not allowed to put the word "please" in my title? Is Ask Me Help Desk anti-manners. I just wanted to be nice. So, for the record, any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated, please and thank you!)

Don't know about the movie, but about the "please", the reason is for ease of use for everyone and getting your question answered promptly. A lot of people naturally say "Please help" when they are in need of help. There is nothing wrong with good manners, but... if every post started with please and ended with thank you, it would become really difficult for us to find questions we can answer, and therefore, make it difficult for you to get your answer. We are here and eager to help, so a please is not required. Please ask us a question!

Let's take your title "movie identification":
Now say I am a movie expert. I am going to be looking to answer your question about identifying a movie by details that you give. So simply putting movie identification is effective, yet redundant if everyone put that as their title. If you had made your title read: "identify movie, all cats dressed 1800's, life of male cat" for example, it would be so much easier for someone who knows the answer to help. This way, your question can be answered quickly.

To sum it all up, make the title simple, and use manners in the actual question box.

    Thank you for using AskMeHelpDesk.com!
