Movie Help: Trying to remember the name of a sequel to an old action flick
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone might remember the name of an old action flick that I cannot seem to recall. I vaguely remember the plot details. The movie that I am thinking about is a sequel. It starts with where the original one left off. Basically a US Soldier gets dropped off in a jungle (Cambodia or Vietman, not really sure.). He accomplishes his goals and in the ending scene of the original he is shown getting left behind in the jungle as a helicopter lifts off with the people he rescued. The sequel picks up at the Soldier's farm where his son is kidnapped by some thugs linked to the person that left him behind in the jungle. Eventually the soldier returns to find that his son was kidnapped and sets out to find and kill the people who are holding his son hostage. The characteristics of note that I remember about this film is that the soldier wore a Katana and used it quite often throughout the movie. As well in one particular scene, the soldier's son shoots one of the kidnappers with a magnum while they are on a dock. I think that the movie was made during the late 1970's or early 80's. I thought the name was Jungle Assault or Jungle Strike but I have had no luck so far. |
