Forgot the movie
Hello,
I have a question about a movie I have seen really long time ago, have no recollection of itīs title, director, actors, production (might be French, Italian or Spanish?). I do not remember the plot so much either. I just have really vivid images of couple of key scenes in that movie and they stayed with me all these years; I would definitely want to see that movie again. It was set back in 1900īs, the main characters were a young gentleman staying in a guest house of some sort (do not remember why) and a lady who was really, really not attractive at all (still remember her nasty looking teeth when she was eating soup) and she might have been sick too. She is an old maiden, not ever being in any relationship of any sot. The woman is in love with the guy and he might (?) have kissed her/slept with her just out of pity. The most powerful scene of that movie is her declaration and her love for him in front of everyone at the dinner even though she knows she doesnīt stand a chance. She does it anyhow humiliating herself in front of everybody. I think I remember the guy actually falls for her in that moment of her honesty and courage. Any chance someone might know what movie I talk about? Thanks a lot. |
