    The film is Home Alone and that is how Kevin's family return home to him.

    The band is a Polka band called the Kenosha Kickers and the lead member is played by John Candy.

    Actually, they only return the mom (Katherine O'Hara) home. The rest of the family wait for a flight to the US from France and they all arrive home at the same time (telling the mom she should have waited). But the movie is the original Home Alone Movie and the only really good one out of the series.
