Early '60's movie with chasing through jungle and losing group members
Saw this as a child, made a big impression due to the graphic nature of some scenes.

Late fifties to early sixties, color.

Details are sketchy, but I remember a group of men and women being pursued through jungle and slowly losing members in various ways such as a woman falling into a dug out pit covered in brush. One of the shots was from down below her hand with a spike through it while she spoke her last words to the people looking down at her. I believe the ending was a lone male survivor looking towards a coastline and then running in that direction, disappearing into the jungle.

Sorry, not much to go on, but I thought I'd give it a shot.
