Does anyone know the name of this film?
The film was a British film in the cinema approx. between 1987 - 2003. It was a crime thriller set in the 50's / 60's about a woman murderer and a police detective that proves him guilty in court but then at the last minute just as he is about to hang, the detective believes him to be innocent and rushes to the prison and literally jumps and catches him as the bottoms trap doors open. There is then a brilliant twist at the end! Can't even remember who starred in it or what the film was called as I only saw it as the original film we went to see was full but it was a brilliant film! Help its driving me insane!
