    I'm looking for a movie based on true events. I think it came out in the late 80's or early 90's It is kind of like the Crisco Kid but It's about this boy who gets burned by his father in a water bed. If some one can help me out it would be much appreciated :)

    I believe you're thinking of the 1988 TV movie entitled David.

    The movie starred Bernadette Peters and Dan Lauria from Wonder Years. I was only 10 when I first saw it but I will remember many of the scenes forever because it was so disturbing. I have a thread titled "David Rothenberg Now" to try to find out how he is doing. His father only served 6 1/2 years for the incident but was sentenced to 25 years for unrelated weapons charges 2 years ago, it's about time. Dave as he calls himself now has appeared on talk shows a few times and is doing well.
