    Cat remember that movie
    Its about people who are looking for treasure that a captain hid in a loop and they go on this journey to different planets or something and they run into different creatures and there an a big ship and when they finally find the key to get to the treasure they open the loop and they go in they find the captains treasure and his ship but out of no where they find out the treasure was boobie trapped and only one man makes it out. It's a kids movie kind of old

    Possibly the Goonies. But I can't tell if that's what you are describing.

    It could also be Ice Pirates. Funny movie.
