Animated movies of the 90's
OK I'm looking for this animated movie about a girl and a boy. The girl is like a generals daughter or something and they fly on ships into the sky... I remember carrier pidgeons.. war going on or something I don't know that's all I remember. Got to be 80's or 90's

The movie was about a young boy, who started as a real boy but went inside his own dream and was given the keys to the city, but he accidentally unlocked a monster and then returned to real world, but had to come back to the fantasy world to undo what he did. What is this movie called.
The movies came from either the 70's or 80's! The first movie I remember the most. I remember it starting with a girl and her grandpa(or dad) driving. Then they pull over for some reason. They both get out of the truck, but the girl's dog is still in there. For some reason the dog jumps out....
