When I was a kid, I saw this scary movie.
It was made in Japan and was shown on the same channel that had the Godzilla Movies.
A Giant Stone statue gets a spike in its had. Then it bleeds then it comes alive. Moving its hand in front of its face to change expression?
If you know what it is please let me know.

I am 65 years old and am a fan of all godzilla and mothra movies, ipking, you have to be putting me on because I never ever seen anything like that . You must have been dreaming, so come back when you can offer something a little better then that!!

And another thing. Fill out your profile and put in your age so your credibility is out there for any l960 movie. You would have had to be born in the 40s to enjoy japanese movies.

That is Daimijin. There were two other films in the series: Daimijin Ikaru and Daimijin Gyakushu.

Just wondering, why would you have to be born in the 40's to enjoy Japanese movies? I think there are probably plenty of people born after the 40's that enjoy these types of movies. (they are still available for anyone to watch) I enjoy plenty of films that were made prior to the decade I was born. Your comment does not make any sense at all, and it is mind boggling that anyone would say such a thing.

Tickle's response may have been rude and uncalled for, but it was not necessarily factually incorrect. If you think a member has posted inappropriately, you have two options; either report the post or add your own response expressing your feelings.

But using the comments feature was also not appropriate.

Actually it was factually incorrect as Tickle said "you have to be putting me on cause I never seen anything like that. You must have been dreaming" when in fact the asker was not "putting her on" The movie WAS real as crowman pointed out. I think negative comments should be given when a poster is being rude/ hateful as this may be a deterrent for future members and askers. We want to make this a welcoming place where people can feel free to ask questions and get helpful responses. If a rude member receives a negative comment perhaps they will realizes their mistakes and it won't happen again. But by the looks of Tickles reputation, she hasn't learned how not to be rude.

And the link you posted doesn't seem to be guidelines, but more like your opinion on how they should be used. Which I agree with except for in this case. Also I would like to add, I don't give negative comments often. Only when someone is being rude do I give them. Simply because I only post on the movie and TV boards and peoples responses to the questions are all just opinions, since no one can ever be sure of what movie/ TV show the asker is thinking of.

Edit: I didn't read all the comments on your linked post until now and I apologize, I didn't realize the admins had approved your guidelines. But I still think this scenario should be included.

crowman and stardust you are both absolutely correct. As an ultra member I had no business posting the way I did and will put forth my apologies to all of you. I only wish some other ultra members were big to do the same thing at times.

From time to time, as you both have probably noticed we have posters putting forth the most ridiculous offerings that it boggles the mind. Some are called 'trolls' and post to rile everyone up. I am not saying this young man was a troll, but in this case my fingers got the best of my brain.

And crowman, you do not have to put a case forward on this one, you have said enough and I am intellgient and old enough to know I made a mistake so leave it at that, okay.

First, no Tickle's response was not inaccurate. She said she never heard of anything like that and expressed the OPINION that the OP must have been dreaming. The statement about being being born in the 40s was also OPINION. I'm not defending what she said, especially since she has done the right thing by apologizing.

I'm responding only to point out labeling her response as incorrect was, in itself, not accurate.

But I think we need to drop this issue here. Any further comments on the use of the comments feature should be in the guidelines thread.
