    Removing name from mortgage
I am having a hard time getting my ex-boyfriend to remove my name from the mortgage, what are my options. Do I half to wait until he is ready or can I force him to do this. I don't want to get the law involved but want my name off the mortgage. I have recently found out that he has had a lean put against the house for his back child support and wonder how and if this will slow the process? Please help?

The only way your name is going to be removed from the mortgage is if he refinances. He may not qualify for a refinance.

The only way for him to do this will be to qualify, and refinance the mortgage into his name only.

I know of no lender that will remove one of the possible parties to collect from.
