    Grant deed
When you refinance does anything change on your grant deed if only you are on the loan and you husband is not, or does it stay the same?

It depends. If you are the only one on the loan and your husband has never been on the deed, he would not be added to the deed unless you wanted him to be. If the two of you were on the previous mortgage and deed together, it is possible to keep him on the deed but not the new loan. Things should only change if you want them to and you should be made aware of everything by the mortgage company and the settlement agent.

Grant deed on the house [ 2 Answers ]

Me and my husband just refinanced, but the new loan is now only under my name. My husband and I are both still on the grant deed, but does this mean that we are still both responsible for the home even though I am the only one on the loan or how does it work?

Here is my problem... In order to buy my first home I had to have my mother put in her name because of my credit. I make all the payments in the two years I lived her and am ready to have the home in my name. What is the best way for us to do this??
