Why do I feel this way?
For the very first time in my life I feel lost. 2 years ago I thought I had everything: an aspiring future, plethora of friends, a sociable status, etc. Now, I don't see where my future is going, I have to beg and plead to hangout with my friends, and what's worse it that I no longer feel that "bulletproof" personality anymore. All of this obviously makes me feel upset and I have trouble doing simple tasks in the day or even getting sleep. I would like to know are these signs of depression or something of that nature so that I can get some kind of help. Thank you.

Could be signs of depression. Could also be just going through the normal feelings of life as we go through the various stages and changes in our lives as we get older.

It would help to have additional information from you in order to help you better. Are you working? Married? Have kids? Are you in school? Approximately how old are you? What specifically do you think is making you feel lost? If you don't really know the answer to that last question, that's okay. That is what we can help you to figure out.

It would be great if we could know some of those things about you!

Having a change in mood needs to be addressed. Some of the clinical signs of depression include a change in sleep patterns, change in eating habits, hopelessness, crying for no reason, disinterest in things that formally brought you pleasure, decrease in libido, suicidal thoughts, fatigue, etc. You need a medical evaluation and probable treatment for what sounds to me like depression. Therapy and medication combinations usually work the best.
