    Stressed, depressed and alone
    Hey guys,

    I'm buried under a pile of assignments and am under a lot of stress. I'm trying to finish them but its never ending. I find it hard to sleep cause I am constantly worrying about my unfinished work. Even after waking up, I still feel as if I didn't sleep at all.

    Because of the stress, I keep having panic attacks and find it hard to breathe. My heart feels like its going to burst. When I do have this attacks, I start crying.
    I'm also really lonely as I'm overseas. Its really depressing. I want to get help but there is just nobody to talk to.

    My parents spent alotta money to send me here to study and I'm seriously worried that I won't do well! Its just so hard! I feel like a failure and am really beginning to hate myself. I know I'm complaining and being all annoying but I'm desperate!. I feel like I'm losing my mind! What should I do?

    I Understand what you are going through, feeling like you will fail others and the stress of work and assignments. All I can say is that if your parents did spend a lot of money on sending you away to get a good education it means they love you a lot and as long as you try your best I am sure that will be good enough them.
    I understand the feeling of not being able to sleep, its like a guilty nagging feeling that just won't go away and the more you feel it the more you want to give up, which means you revise less and concentrate on your work less and therefor the feeling gets worse and worse. It is an endless cycle but the only advice I can give you is that you need to forget about failing. Realise that your life won't end if you fail or do rubbish. You will be fine nomatter what happens with your studies it will work out how it is meant to. When you realise this you might be able to concentrate on guilt less and on studying more.
